*I assume that the first two keys are the two keys already programmed to the vehicle and the third key is the new to be programmed key. What happens if you lose one of the first two keys, can you still program an extra key? I guess not!!!*

I own a 202 Transit 250. Without the transponder key in the ignition you can not start the vehicle. I made dumb keys but they only open the doors. I think you skipped some steps.
