This hit from Iggy Pop was heard on the Miami Vice episode, Killshot, which aired on October 10, 1986. Miami Vice will go down as one of my favorite all-time shows. It was the first to combine MTV with police action drama.

Besides this cover (the first one that I heard),  it was also done by Jet Harris (UK, 1962), The Guess Who, Ivan (one of Holly’s Crickets, 1958), Chris Otcasek and Joan Jett(in 1997).  I put all of these and the O’Keefe original in my Jett playlist. Thanks for uploading!
