The YT Izzo is a bike that we get a lot of requests to test out and so we did! We headed to YT in San Clemente, California to test out the new Izzo that is on sale now for $2599. But can this bike shred and is it worth it?

I got my Izzo Uncaged 11 for about $4k and came with Ohlins and GX transmission. Great value and bike's been holding pretty well.

Got the Izzo back at the start of Covid and love it still. Way more bike than any of us regular riders will ever need and super fun.

Love my Izzo pro race. Such a fast capable bike. Lots of miles on it with no issues. 👍

Great review. I was torn between the Jeffsy and the Izzo. Went with Jeffsy, but I still think the Izzo would be more than enough for my riding. Always a joy when watching your videos.

IZZO TIP: take the spacers out of the NEGATIVE chamber of the dps (yes, there are spacers in there) and it gets a lot better

I was deciding between this and the Ripley AF. Ended up getting the Ripley but izzo is a good looking bike.

I have the same Izzo Core 3 that Mo was riding. I swapped the wheels to CF and brought the bike down to 27.5 lbs (no pedals). As the review indicates, this bike is classic short travel trail bike with an excellent pedaling platform - especially with lighter wheels (mine are just over 1530g). This is a “jack of all trades” kind of bike.

I've got a customized '22 Core 3 Izzo in the same Assault green color. Best climber I've ever ridden. Fun pointed downhill too but it's certainly not an Enduro ripper. I bumped the fork up to 140 for a little more confidence pointed downhill. That did not effect the climbing abilities. I think it's the best Trail (all around) bike I've owned.

Love my Izzo. I bought it when they first came out in the ghost ship green, amazing color.

First thing I did was tried some tires out on it. My permanent combo has been DHR II in the front and Dissector in the back. Really good combo. If you want something faster do Dissector in the front and Rekon in the back and that works really good too.

After maybe 6 months I bought and used a shockwiz to setup the suspension, worth it!

That said, this thing can get rowdy. It's amazing for areas like FL, but I haven't gone down a trail in NC yet that over powered the bike.

I put oval chain ring and GX AXS on it and it's amazing.

This was a great video and review! Thanks!

I really liked the part at the end how you compare the Izzo to Ari Delano Peak. You mentioned how it is "easy" to demo a Delano Peak, but I haven't seen those in the SoCal area for demoing. Anything you can share here? I'd love to demo an Ari before making any final purchase decisions.

Another Great Video…. I moved from Cali a yr ago and don’t get the Buc-ee’s thing.
They are everywhere here in FLA. Come back & Ride Afafia or Santos again.
Cheers Dave…

Just took my Izzo out for it's first ride 2 days ago and man was it night and day difference from my other bike (Specialized Rockhopper). This is my first full suspension bike so that might have made the difference that much more drastic. Climbing felt about the same as my hardtail but the downhills were much better and like you guys said it inspired more confidence on the trail. It also helps that I got my Core 1 for sub $1700 shipped.

Im running a 120 / 120 izzo in my fleet. Likely could give your xc shoot out a run for the money on descending and climbing. Im 230#s and didnt want a 24 - 26 pounder when descending enduro trails. I like it set up this way more then the 130 130 original izzo i owned.

Is this a fast down country bike like an epic evo?

Would be interested to see you test the Alchemy Arktos 125, although I think it might be similar to the YT in having a longer wheelbase.

How would you compare it vs. the Spur?

I had the Izzo Pro Race. It was my first nice FS equipped with SRAM X01. Loved it but unfortunately, it was stolen.

Interesting that the "rowdier" Delano peak was the more playful bike. The stack on the Izzo is pretty high for a short travel though, literally higher stack than a Specialized Enduro, but that's the norm for YT, the Jeffsy and Capra are on the high end of their categories as well, the Capra just sizes on the small side in terms of reach. But YT does take a page from Rocky Mountain and Commencal and runs very high stack for the respective categories, which is great for going downhill.

Where could I order an YT Izzo online for that price?

I have one of these coming on Wednesday the core one however, question is does it have a degree really make a difference with these flippy chippy thingies. also after watching the vid I'm 5'9" with a 32 inch inseam and went with a medium I hope I made the right decision even though the guy at YT recommended possibly going to a large and changing out the stem but the type of writing I do I like to be able to throw the bike around I guess a little bit that's why I stuck with medium being more nimble. But I'm guessing it's well worth it as I paid $1900 for it. I just hope the squeaky doesn't happen with the bottom bracket like I read about with carbon bikes this will be my first carbon mountain bike
