Ok... so I take it by now everyone knows that the Resident Evil movie franchise failed to follow the games from this point on. But I will say this... it's still damn entertaining to me! I really have fun watching these movies. Even though the dialogue is at times shotty, it's not perfect, but hey... I'll accept it. I'll also say this about the movie... hands down, this is my favorite intro of all 6 movies. I had goosebumps with that song and just the slow build up of how the outbreak at Tokyo started I mean wow, come on! That beat is tight! This rightfully deserves it's spot in my "Gamerverse", movies about video games!

Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) was such a outstanding and incredible sequel on so many levels. The story, performance's, music, action sequences, direction, special effects, and cinematography was amazing and wonderful. It was such a fun rollercoaster thrill ride. You have a good time with this movie. Milla Jovovich did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Alice as she put tons of emotion and depth into her role. It was decent. To this day the ending still gives me chills and goosebumps 😰😱 and I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍😎💯👍

The first scene is the beginning of the T-virus infection in Japan. It takes place years before the main plot of the film.

at around 5 mins) During the intro one of the snipers remarks "Biohazard terminated." Biohazard is the title of the Resident Evil series in Japan.

This is the first live-action movie based on a video game to be in 3-D.

The intention of director Paul W.S. Anderson was that this would be the first film in the series to have an optimistic ending. The producers, however, wanted an intense cliffhanger as the ending. The director added the massive attack, leaving the film open ended.

The fight between Chris and Claire against Wesker is almost identical to the fight in Resident Evil 5 (2009) where Wesker fights Chris and Sheva.

First film where Chris and Jill are both present. However Chris and Jill never meet or share any scenes in the film, unlike the Resident Evil games where the two are very close. In fact the couple have worked together in Resident Evil (1996), Resident Evil: Revelations (2012) and Resident Evil 5 (2009).

Chris and Claire confronting Wesker is slightly reminiscent of Resident Evil: Code: Veronica (2000). Coincidently Wesker first shows his superhuman powers in Code Veronica to Chris and Claire same as in this film Wesker first uses his powers on Chris and Claire in the films.

Ali Larter missed seven episodes of her TV series Heroes (2006) in order to appear in the film.

During filming, Milla Jovovich accidentally shot out a $100, 000 camera.

Although never mentioned explicitly in the final cut, the script clarifies that despite Wesker's injection Alice's blood system continues to fight off the antibodies.

Despite prominent billing for actress Spencer Locke, her screen time is very limited since she appears briefly at the end. Additionally, the character of K-Mart does not utter a single line of dialogue during the entire film (excluding archive footage from Resident Evil: Extinction (2007)).

I played all RE games from RE1 on PS. Dreamcast w Code Veronica and onto PS3. I think that this is without a doubt the BEST video game to Movie franchise, hands down. The movies have gotten better, and with this one teaming w Disney using the REAL 3d cameras, it will blow the others out. I mean if you dont like it, then dislike and bounce! Great trailer!!
