Andre Matos always reminded me (physically) of my dad, there was some of him in his face. My dad passed away in 2012. When the band Dark Moor came to my country they signed autographs and when it was my turn they stopped and laughed and told me that i looked like Andre Matos. I dont know, but the passing of Andre Matos somehow feels very close to me, apart from the fact that his beautiful voice has allways been around in my life with his music. RIP.

A ideia errônea que alguns de nós incluindo eu tinha, era que essa lenda não iria embora, que teria infinitas possibilidades de vê-lo ao vivo e assim os anos foram passando, e eu só consegui esse feito duas vezes, perdi muitas outras oportunidades inclusive de ir conhece-lo pessoalmente quando esteve em minha cidade, e agora me apego a esses videos, entevistas, músicas e qualquer registro do nosso Maestro. I can't believe that tomorrow it will be one year since we have lost the Maestro. This whole month I have been and will be listening to everything that Andre Matos has ever done. The phenomenal body of work that he did is incredible. Viper, Angra, Shaman, Virgo, The Andre Matos Band, the Avantasia projects, and more are all amazing bands that Andre help make perfect. He had it all, a phenomenal singing voice, amazing songwriting skills, incredible piano playing, and a heart of gold. Their have been many musicians that have passed away that I respect and admire, but this one hit me the hardest out of all of them. His incredible gifts really touched me that much. One thing is for sure that his music will live on forever. May he Rest In Peace 🙏🙏🙏
