Gerd Muller scoring 68 Goals in 62 Games for Germany is just crazy

Thomas Müller has won 12 Bundesliga titles. He was part of the 11 year long dynasty from 2013-2023 and he won it in 2010

Neuer is too low. He might arguably the best goalkeeper of all time, got third place in the Ballon d'Or as a keeper and changed how the position is played. He's should be at least fourth place.

A pretty agreable list. And just think who had to be left out: Mesut Özil, Helmut Rahn, Andreas Brehme, Rudi Völler, Wolfgang Overath, Toni Schumacher, Jürgen Kohler, Thomas Häßler ... However, the one name that I am really missing here is Bernd Schuster. Although he didn't have much of a career with the national team, he was an absolute sensation in Spanish football in the 80s. He should rank among the Top Ten at least.

You can't mention Netzer without Wolfgang Overath ( 1. FC Köln). According to Netzer himself Overath was the better international player while he was the better club player and that's why he was ok with Overath often being the first choice in international games. Netzer was just more glamourous in public (nothing against his ranking among the best). Overath won the first Bundesliga champioship, 3x DFB cup and the World Championship 1974. A genius midfielder and I would rank him by far over Ballack though he did not score as many goals.

Fritz Walter deserves a place higher in the ranking (in my honest opinion) among the top 5. He was a "director" on the field, a real captain, impeccable in his behavior on and off the field. His career started before WW2 and ended in the late 50s. He might have achieved more accolades without WW2 which cut his career short. Unfortunately, only a few of his games are recorded on film, so we can't really give justice to his incredible talent. What I have heard from the elder generation (that saw him play) when I was young (some 50 years ago) like scoring with the heel from impossible angles ...

Nice to see Sammer in that list, he´s in my opinion a very underrated player these days.

The picture of the "distraught" Uwe Seeler at the 1966 final was actually taken during half-time when the match was yet undecided. He wasn't distraught, but exhausted.

Wolfgang Overath is the only one missing, who MUST be in. More consistent than Netzer. Ahead of him in every tournament except '72. Voted in the 1974 World Cup team of the tournament.

All Players are good. But do not forget the Defenders. Hummels, Boateng and Koller are allways underated.

The Top 3 are spot on and cemented forever with Matthäus, G. Müller and Beckenbauer.

Klose is very much undersold in this video. I wouldn't rate him way higher but the description for him is just wrong. He was phenomenal and that whilst always being fair and humble

The real first place goes to Walter Frosch. This guy was a true legend.

Good List the only players I would like to add are Joachim Streich (all time top scorer of the GDR national team), Jürgen Sparwasser a legendary midfielder from FC Magdeburg who is famous for scoring the winnig goal against AC Milan in the final of the european cup winners cup and Wolfgang Overath who played over 400 games for Köln winning them a Bundesliga title and being part of the 1974 world cup winning team for West Germany

Great Video, but some players like Overath, Podolski, Kohler and many others are missing, but the list is very good. For Germany you would probably need a list of atleast 25

Before getting to Beckenbauer you should include those left out but deserving to be mentioned like Andreas Brehme, Hans Peter Briegel, Rudi Voeller, Mezut Özil, Lucas Podolski, Bernd Schüster...
