Should I Apply to ERAS On October 21st Without USMLE Step 2CK?

Trying to decide whether or not to apply on October 21st if your missing USMLE Step 2CK?
It is expected that many more applicants than normal will be applying with a missing Step Component in the 2021 cycle. As such, we anticipate that programs are going to be slightly more lenient in their interview invites, with regards to having both Steps or not. However, Step Scores/Attempts will certainly still be a strong considering factor for programs, especially if a Step is missing.

Hello, I am a foreign born student attending a DO school. I was originally scheduled to take Step 1 and step 2 in May and july however due to covid these were cancelled. Due to being foreign born my government issued ID expired and I was not able to renew it to sign up for exams again until post ERAS Release. Currently I have the DO equivalent of Step 1 in range for the specialty I am targeting and the rest of my application is competitive based on residency explorer. Would programs consider me for interviews in this scenario?

Hello ! I have my step 1 and step 2 CK score OET pending
My questions was My other document are ready but my medical school transcripts and Dean letter is still in process

So should I apply by oct 21 or better wait until all is complete.
I was wondering i they will flag it as incomplete application when they first check it, even though on ERAS there is an option it will automatically assign it latter when it’s uploaded and verified by ECFMG .

Hello. I’m an IMG. I’ve already completed step 1 and OET. Step 2 this week. In case of delayed score, is it advisable to submit the application without step 2 score and then add it on later or a delayed submission(after 28th September)? Thank you!

Hello, IMG/ I have 263 STEP1 score/ YOG 2018(December)/ GPA score of 9.3/ 2 unpublished research during med school/ONE YEAR GAP during medical education(financial/personal problems. I guess my good score kinda compensate for it)/ 3 telerotations(3 LOR) some work experience-volunteering including covid. The problem is I probably will not have step 2ck by the deadline. Should I apply. I have heard that you can search programs that do not require step 2ck/ecmfg cert. via your agency and apply to them(dunno how many there are of such programs). TIA

Could you elaborate on "next year, you're not able to apply to the number of programs that you need to to be competitive" Are you unable to apply to the same programs the next year?

Strong step1 score means what's the score is below 230 or above 230 for IM and peads
