The ULTIMATE game setup on Nintendo Switch

The unpatched V1 version of Nintendo Switch is perfect for the ultimate game setup. A triple boot lets you switch between Switchroot Android, L4T Ubuntu and custom firmware on one SD card. This allows you to play Wii and Gamecube games. Mount games on an external HDD and play Game Boy Advance and Sega Saturn games.

Important to note that if you plan to overclock the Switch for emulation or just running games better, V1 Switchs are getting up in age and should probably have their thermal paste changed before you spend longer sessions with it overclocked.

small update: best way to play PS1 on switch is NOT duckstation running on android. A native HOS port of Duckstation was developed, and since it runs better 99% of the time, that's the new best way to play PS1 on switch.

Not really adviced to change micro sd cards frequently. The v1 unpatched Switch SD slot is fragile and socket pins can break in any moment. You're better off setting/partitioning everything on one micro sd card and copy files via mtp-usb or by ftp depending the situation.

Make an updated video, the performance has improved a lot, the new emulators already have Vulkan and can now include 3DS, PS2, PSVita.
And to make it even more complete, you can try to emulate simple and light indie PS3 games with RPCS3 and also PS4 with Spine Linux, and PC Cassia or Box64 Android.

SX OS is annoying and working with TX at the end was a horrible experience. After they fell we opened up SX OS, cracked it, and created a free version that we planned to release before shelving it and moving to work on Atmosphere. Says a lot when we spent months to completed the project and then shelved it simply because we were sick of it.

My only slight regret is not porting more features to Atmosphere.

wait so with this method you dont need a RCM loader? its would be really cool if someone made a fully scaled OS for the switch that replaces the original one. Some people like myself really don care about online and just want to have a portable emulator that can play everything
