You know, I went to Level 256, and there was the same Barber Cut arcade machine. But one good prize in particular was a BB-8 USB car charger. It was easy for me, as I presume the blade was quite sharp to cut the string.

On my first few tries, I was close to getting the string inside. That's because I was kinda figuring out what the timing is to get the blade on the string.

On my last play (where my play card was finally empty), I finally managed to get the prize. It was a "clutch moment", as that play was unimaginable on the moment it happened. It was amazing.

And the BB-8 USB charger was like, what, around $20-30 USD? This game was for about $1.50 per play (I think). And in my head, it was the best prize in the machine.

This video is 100 percent correct. However, I have figured out a way to beat this machine every time I play. Well, if my timing and skill are perfect at the time. I have cut all the strings on the same machine on four separate occasions. All within one hour and way under $50. I became so good at this technique that I was banned from playing the barber cut lite game at every fun factory arcade on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

I've also heard that some of the so called "strings" in some of the arcades also have wire running through the centre of them so even on a frayed "string" look out for that before you waste money on something that ain't gonna drop whatever you do - except maybe replacing the "scissors" with wire

you dont use the blade to cut but the little pivot point on the side and just pull it

The one in my mall seems to be cheating. I pinched the cord at least 20 times and it won't cut.

I'm going to stick to electronic and mechanical games. This mechanic seems easy to fib. Just looking at the mechanism I can think of at least 3 ways the owner could've put a monkey wrench in it.
