No game today matches the graphic fidelity of this magnificent PC exclusive game when it was first released.

Chrome yourself for 60FPS

This version of Crysis has higher texture resolution, and an ultra-high spec edit.

This game... this game was exclusive to the PC back in 2007. The amount of graphic fidelity it had was just amazing. Not only does this game have parallax mapping, something DX11 claims to have as a feature (This game is DX10), but it had such dynamic weather, dynamic environments, amazing and gorgeous water detail, and so much more. Technology in this game was extremely ahead of its time, beyond any game today that seems to claim the same features this game had and call it "new". Please look at Call of Duty Ghosts next-gen trailer as an example, where they claim these same features whereas this game already had it. I could go on, but the point is to just enjoy this amazing game.

First, crysis didn't use Parallax Mapping, it used Parallax Occlusion Mapping, which is more advanced than regular Parallax.
Second, DX11 doesn't have Parallax Mapping as a feature, it has Displacement mapping as a feature.
Displacement mapping actually gives the surface more actual details made of polygons.
Parallax Mapping and Parallax Occlusion mapping create a simple illusion of volumetric surface, if you shoot in the ground that had parallax Occlusion Mapping on it, youan see that the hole from a bullet is above the ground because the surface itself is flat.

It does tickle me how a 7 year old PC game can whoop the ass off the new "next generation" consoles and everyone is still raging about how they got fucked up with Watchdogs and Farcry 4 etc.. looking totally crap on release compare to the trailer footage that they were all conned with.

And on ... and on.... XD
