Nightmares On Wax - Imagineering

Imagineering is inspired by my travels through Asia pre lockdown 2020. I’ve always been attracted towards using classical compositions with a street beat approach, classical street beats you could say. I brought in my good friend and longtime collaborator Robin Taylor-firth on keys to give it that classic melancholy Nightmares on Wax sound. Imagineering is an ode to the creativity that surrounds us everyday i.e. Ideas that are imagined and then realised.

S.O.T.F! is a project three years in the making, finalised over lockdown. I've been gigging non-stop for 10 years, and that experience has been beautiful but it also drained me emotionally. Having the time and the space has meant that I could do a proper deep dive into this stuff.

There's an underlying part of Shout Out! To Freedom... that is very, very personal to me. Turning 50 and getting to know who I am now, getting to know the person I am now and becoming best friends with the person I am right now.

This album is all about this journey of going back to myself.

Always does and forever will be synonymous with my younger days smoking green with my mates and one in particular. RIP Tom. N.O.W on the tape player and puff puff pass till it was time to go to sleep. Drifting off with smokers Delight in my ears. Great days . Very mellow with that dance hard atmosphere in parts. I gave up smoking 20 years ago as the skunk causes me psychosis bit these tunes really make me feel stoned. Thank you
