OMG! Somebody finally used the correct term, “infrasonic”, instead of the common but, entirely wrong, “subsonic”. Subsonic means below the speed of sound. Lately I’ve seen subsonic being used much more than infrasonic but, that doesn’t make it correct. Thank you Gene for getting it right!

How do you power a sub like this with only 15 and 20 amp circuits?

Yep! Developed a relatively small twin 18s. They were went down to around 12hz but had bigger cabinets. Probably not nearly as efficient.

I don't like doing this because I was really liking the specs on this speaker, right up until the $12, 000 price. I design and build this stuff and I'm not saying it's a bad product but I can build the exact same thing by hand for half that price and make a fat profit. $6, 000 would be a reasonable price.

At this rate we’ll need to build speakers in separate lighter parts that all latch together.

A bass sample that stands out to me is in the first Dr Strange when he’s time looping with Dormamu there’s some nice base sweeps that cruise across the spectrum that get repeated by the scene, allowing for relaxed critical listening.

Dampening is to make something wet. Damping is in reference to the decreasing the amplitude of an oscillation. Common mistake.
