Where is Cynthia G when you need her? 😂 She would have been a good panelist on Roland Martin’s show. I hope he does an interview with her one day.

Those men just listening to respond! They are not actively listening to Roland! I commend Roland for staying the course!

This incessant need for bw to to coddle bm needs to be studied. It's counterproductive. How is welfare the reason black men aren't in their lives of their children in 2024? Or any man for that matter? Black men are worried about putting food on the table, what does he think all these single black mothers are doing? Just living on easy street? This is disappointing but not surprising.

I appreciate Roland keeping it real. Everything these gentlemen brought up are things that face black women as well yet bw seem to be more engaged in improving their situation. The reality is women in general are on track to outpace men, it's just more stark in the black community.

If black men complain about being heard, but choose to vote for the party with the candidate that wants to give cops immunity, they are throwing a tantrum. They are going to want black women to show up when they see stopped and frisked or shot, but they can't just vote. It's annoying

Roland, I can’t w the brother using the excuses abt our kids not even having air conditioning in schools 😂! I didn’t have AC UNTIL I WENT TO COLLEGE! I remember we would fight to sit near the fan! 😂 Kids today are just soft, I’m sorry! I wanted an education more than I wanted to be stuck in my town making no money! We have to take some responsibility for how lazy our young ppl have gotten! WE GOTTA DO BETTER! There weren’t a lot of college educated s 1:32:35 black folks except teaches that I had examples of growing up. Now, kids have seen a black POTUS & a black VPOTUS! WE HAVE TO MOTIVATE OUR KIDS TO WANT MORE & BE WILLING TO WORK FOR IT! 🙏💙💙💙💙🌊🌊🌊🌊

It is so striking to see how action-oriented, solution-focused Roland was in the bm discussion. It just shows how mentally passive some people have become within themselves and their communities. Engagement shakes the table.

I hope brothers are not looking to trump for validation. Think about this Trump does not invite anyone or care about anyone but rich white men. Do the right thing vote for the person who is best for you, family, community, and country. Vote!

Let me first say these types of conversations need to keep happening. Roland is trying to hold BM accountable since they have so many issues and concerns and don’t feel heard or seen. What I see however is what often happens with anything concerning BM’s role in the community is coddling and gentle gloving. That needs to stop! If their issues are really that serious Do something! Stay offline being keyboard warriors for White Supremacy and complaining about weave, lashes and make up. Our community has so many more pressing issues that need both the men and women to be engaged on but now it is nothing getting done except for, with many of our brothers and sisters in office are doing politically
And believe I’m grateful for them and their hard work but what about the rest of us, in the community what are we doing? It’s a collective effort and other communities understand that. They in my opinion they (BM) are dividing us cause they have no real desire to problem solve with Black women and that’s sad.

Thank you, Roland, for presenting the facts that counter a falsely created (by powerful forces) narrative of a gender divide among Black people. I have long been saddened when hearing Black men ignoring our shared challenges in this society. So pleased that you take a wholistic approach to understanding the situation of Black people in the Unite States.

This society has pathologized Black men, so if there is only a response to those societally induced circumstances (for which Black men are often blamed) without taking a broader community perspective the overall situation cannot be addressed effectively. The outcome has been to falsely paint Black men as more aggrieved than Black women, which avoids taking a community approach.

After watching many videos and perspectives on this, it's sounding like, in general, bm want the hand up to come up, and they are mad that bw have l are on the upward move and they can't understand how
