First of all thank you .. your videos are simple and straight to point. I have a question though, in your second approach you have created two views one for each key for making easy for user to understand in the presentation layer. If I have 10 date keys in fact table does it mean that I have to create 10 views for the same date dimension ? Is there any other approach ?

Hey guys, awesome series of videos! Really useful to quickly jump-start BI knowledge!

I have a question regarding the role-playing dims. Since none of RDBMS support adding a foreign key to a view (but table only), how would you go around this limitation?

I can reference the dimension directly, but that is now really by-the-book :-/

Hi, Thanks for these videos. Need suggestion on unknown member key in Date/Calendar Dimension. For dealing an unknown or blank date in the fact, is it wise to have -1 as unknown member key in Date/Calendar Dimension or some long date like 99991231?
