Someone pointed this out on my channel when I uploaded the scene and Koba died in a similar fashion like Jacobs, both Koba and Jacobs both fell to their deaths from an extremely high distance while asking for mercy from the protagonists that they tried to kill

The weird thing about Dawn is that there is a sequence, I believe it’s the after-credits where heavy breathing is heard and it’s implied to be Koba. I missed it in theaters but I caught it on Bluray and it always made me wonder if they were thinking of a possibility that Koba will return but decided not to bring him back for the 3rd (aside from dream sequences).

I have a strong feeling in the upcoming movie The Kingdom of the Apes it’s going to be revealed Proximus Caesar (the king ape as seen in the trailer) is a descendant of Koba yet he lies to the rest of the ape and claims that he’s part of Caesars bloodline. Proximus looks so much like Koba. Noa looks EXACTLY like a younger Caesar

So….it’s entirely possible Koba survived and reproduced

I was watching both Rise and Dawn again recently and maybe it's just me but Koba's death is oddly similar to the death of the antagonist from Rise who Koba ultimately killed. Both screaming in terror as they plunge to their deaths. I wonder if it was intentional.

Koba obviously survived cause at the end of Dawn, the credits go black & all you hear is muffled breathing + the sound of something coming out of the rubble/metals that collapsed. They had that door opened of him returning but closed it entirely for Part III when all they showed was him as a looming ghost for Caesar’s hallucinations
