Louise Mabulo grew up on seemingly strange farming tips from her parents and grandparents — like planting crops during a full moon or burying a rock beneath them. If Humans really want to save this earth, the only solution is to lower our standard of living. Funny thing about us humans is that most of us wanted a luxurious life. But this luxurious life of our is the main cause of all this pollution and climate change.

Ancient wisdom from yesterday will do just fine. No need to reinvient the wheel of common sense. USE LESS fossil fuels, PERIOD.

Amazing! I love knowing the scientific explanations to old Filipino “superstitions”. I was really hoping you could explain the whistling because I grew up in a village in the Philippines, and after rice harvest season, the older ladies would take their own spot and they would all whistle and a breeze always came to help them sift through the rice grains in their flat basket, like magic.

Presenter: Talks about calling the wind by whistling.

Me: "Is she a Filipino?" + Googled her. I knew it, sa Pilipinas lang meron niyan, eh, haha.

History has answers to everything but not in a logical way but in an oral form way if we can get the point we can make the planet like before it was

I see many comments that this message doesn’t resonate with. I challenge you, before you leave a quick comment about your grandparents working in the fossil fuel industry- to look back to your ancestral heritage that lived in communion with the land, and discover wisdom in traditions there.

Can we have the scientific sources to support the fact that the "old customs from her ancesters" are actually more than a placebo effect or confirmation bias? Or should we just believe her?

The climate has nothing to do with people, it would still be the same way if we weren't here.

"Putting more carbon into soil than we take from it" ?
Do you really think that carbon is coming "from the soil" ?
