United Launch Alliance tests new Vulcan rocket
Показать описание
United Launch Alliance on Wednesday tested its new Vulcan rocket at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
The next-generation, methane-fueled rocket will replace the company's Atlas and Delta rockets, which are being retired.
The test demonstrated propellant loading operations and the countdown sequence through ignition of the twin booster engines.
The rocket, which is expected to launch its first mission later this year, will carry satellites into orbit.
It can also launch missions to the moon.
