This guy is really underrated, He beat Rene Téllez Girón who is really aggressive and was on a come up. Similar to Pitbulls style. I’m still going for Pitbull but I won’t be surprised if Cabrera wins either. Besides he is trained by Freddy Roach, so atleast we know that Cabrera took the necessary sparring to prepare for this fight.

Cabrera is gonna have to be on his A game coming into this fight; Cruz is gonna apply crazy pressure, and if he smells blood he’s not gonna let him off the hook.

I’ve seen Cabrera fight before, and he fights well though his style isn’t very slick compared to other natural boxers like Shakur, Keyshawn, etc. he’s got good reflexes, but his lack of power is what worries me coming into this fight. If Cabrera gets too cocky it’s gonna cost him the fight, he needs to clinch as soon as Pitbull throws hate makers, and jab like his life depends on it; Cabrera does stand a chance if he’s able to control the distance, jab with conviction, be smart in the clinch game, and desperate Cruz which could occur like when he fought that Argentinian guy Romero, or even when he fought a veteran like Vargas he does get too desperate when the opponent doesn’t fold so that’s the only aspect that makes me lean towards Cabrera, however; once again, Cabrera lack of punching power, and cockiness during the fight will be the huge factors that affect the outcome of the fight.

I see this fight either a TKO (Doctor stoppage or body shot ) in Cruz’s favour if he follows the right game plan and doesn’t just looks for the KO in every shot, and throws accurate short punches to Cabrera’s head and body, or the other scenario is that Cabrera manages the pressure, and makes Cruz desperate to win a quite convincing decision.

Who knows honestly, hopefully is a good fight.
