Regarding the cup of wrath ... When Christ was praying in the garden of Gethsemane in Matthew 26:39 do you suppose He was meaning the cup of wrath spoken of in Revelation 14:10, 16:19?
Just asking because I believe there is a connection here.
Christ, I believe, wasn't thinking of Himself in Matthew 26: 39 but the nation of Israel.
Christ always put Israel before Himself when in the flesh.
But knowing the will of the Father wrath is inevitable.
Matthew 26:41-42
The spirit is willing but the flesh is week.
Christ has a divine appointment to fulfill first in the flesh and then in the spirit.
Could Christ be praying for God to change the inevitable plan?
