Was my life for a few years. It was upstairs though so the bass literally shook my house. You have no idea what its like (hopefully) when the council are hopeless, you wife is crying and then they burst a pipe and flood your house. Violence is at the forefront of your mind all the time, but you know there is no good ending there no matter what happens.

Really enjoyed this film - it's a very real issue for people who live in council houses when I lived at home in my teens we as a family were in a similar situation so can relate

Completely agreed, in fact I REALLY wanted the film’s final act to be a lot harsher.

god, I’m not sure if I can stand to watch this. I’ve had a nightmare neighbor situation for a while, to the point where I needed to take legal action because my family’s safety had been threatened. they’ve finally just put their place up for sale… maybe I’ll watch when this is over! this is one of the worst things you can deal with in normal day-to-day life.

I went through this 3 years ago. It is not nice. It is a Council matter. it is a Health & Safety Issue. The Police attended once when a neighbour complained. The Police never came again. The Landlord was being paid, the Landlord took no action. Every day, at 01:00 it started. Every day I filled in a schedule the Council sent me. This went on for 11 months, until he came down with Covid. The Raves and parties stopped...

Oh the build up is so full of tension. Adroitly handled, decent acting performances, but really tense at times. The payoff, though glorious, could perhaps have done with a bit more TLC, the choreography in particular. Well worth a watch!

My friend at work has just got rid of a bad neighbour after she went to the council, they didn't mess about and got them evicted within days. That's in Cleveland (Middlesborough) so if anyone is having problems with bad neighbours see what the council can do, they might just be able to help. ❤❤

Reminded me of the time the landlord who owned the house next door to me, decided to rent it to emergency accommodation...fights till 3am, on one occasion I couldn't get out of bed thanks to the drug fumes floating through the pipework. My revenge? I moved away, but before I did, I sent off for a can of sørstrumming, undid the air vent under their front doorstep, and inserted the open can. If you YouTube ' opening cans of sørstrumming, you'll see what i missed as i drove away. I doubt they worked out where it came from...

It's pretty good with the set-up, as Mark says, and I would agree it's a stressful watch. But I found the ending totally unconvincing and not really very satisfying.

I haven't seen this (yet) but I hope the poor woman knows an Austrian guy named Arnie. That would be a conclusion I could live with.
