The Norelco Continental 101 is a transistorized portable tape recorder from Philips (EL-3586) in 1963. This demonstration tape was used for it. It's over 40 minutes long, mostly music and some narration.

My family used one of these to send message tapes between the airbases we lived on in Germany and The UK. You received the tape, listened to it and then used the other side to send your reply. This was in 1963-4. We loved it.

I still have my Continental 101 that I received for Christmas of 1964, and with the same demo tape.

I just inherited the family tapes and this player. But it doesnt work... Any suggestions? Any common problems which could be an easy fix?
