Zika virus: Tracing the origins of the epidemic

Scientists discovered that the Zika virus causes the birth defect microcephaly in unborn infants, making it important to protect pregnant mothers from being infected with the disease. In this video, we trace the origins of the Zika public health crisis and look at how scientists were able to connect the virus with the uptick in microcephaly in Brazil.
