Being a bud tender is probably the best way to get into this business or cultivation. You meet a lot of people who also know a lot of people in this industry, especially if you're in a state where it's prominent and changing with the CCB like Nevada. Being a bud tender has open doors to myself and many other people to not just learn in abundance but also gives people the opportunity to move up pretty quickly. Yeah if you're a bud tender and don't do anything and have tenacity and treat it like a job. You probably won't move up just like anywhere you have to want to be in this industry. Stroller owners managers even promoters from different companies like stizzy and redwood. I've seen guys who have gone from bud tending to being head figure and marketing or in merchandising and when you're a merchandising like that signing deals for dispensaries most merchandisers will cut you a deal so you can test their products so you can sell it at your dispensary. Im in WA state, manager at a local shop. Medium sized place and we're about to break ground on a new larger building. I make almost $21 p/hr and take home about $50-$100 in tips every day five days a week. I work a 9hr shift...average about 3, 500 minimum a month. Tips aren't reported as my boss doesn't pool or share tips. While I'm not gonna argue that I'm making a killing, I wouldn't exactly agree with what you're saying. And I'm in a small ass town way up on the penninsula in the pacific NW.

I kind of disagree with that. Only because I feel like if you wanted to create a Brand or product being a budtender would be a great way to learn what the customer is needing and looking for. Especially if you have zero experience and Cannabis.
And the reason I say kind of disagree is because you are 100% right you’re not gonna become rich by being a budtender. Unless, of course, you use the knowledge that you gain from being a budtender to create a brand or product that became very successful.
