Always admired Dr Jaishankar for being a very articulate and analytical diplomat. Have listened to him on various other occasions and he remains humble and forthright as ever. I look forward to reading his book "The India Way" though it was written before the recent Indo-China friction at the borders. Dr Jaishankar is perhaps the only technocrat PM Modi chose to have in his 2nd term, which shows his focus on India's foreign affairs, and the trust he has in Dr Jaishankar as a competent EAM, having been India's Foreign Secretary during PM Modi's 1st term. Wish we had more such technocrats in other key ministries like Finance, Defence, and Commerce as well. It's these ministries which will play a key role in the coming years, in a post-Covid world order, which may well transform the current alliances and rules of engagement perhaps dictated by a newly anointed Superpower in our neighborhood. For decades India was extremely diffident in its wavering foreign policies, but with Dr Jaishankar as EAM, it has been more proactive and realistic than idealistic (which India has been since 1947). Hope Dr J serves India well for many years to come.

The best thing come at last, so was with this conversation. As Dr. Jaishankar put it in a big picture that for Global Institutions we don't need to protect them but essentially they have to be reform as everything does in presence of Nature.

P.S: It was a good decision of Modi to have Dr. Jaishanker's as EAM, we will see the effects of this in the future and i think so far we have seen the communication and footprints expanding while he has been in office.
