Now for the Drupal vs WordPress and the answer is yes but you need a build a website like a news website or its better you stick with the WordPress over the Drupal in 2018.
As I told you Drupal is a Complex CMS but also the Best CMS when you talk about the Drupal vs WordPress. Drupal Websites are more beautiful comapare to the WordPress.
Drupal Suck if you don't know the Drupal Coding which is the reason why for 99% Drupal is bad CMS.

"Is [x] dying?" tech questions have always been pointless, but probably the best indication that Drupal isn't - regardless of market share - is just how active the issue queues are. Would I recommend it to a beginner who was impatient or didn't have much time? No. But architecturally it's far stronger than many CMSs if you're willing to take the time (a few months of regular use) to learn it. And you certainly don't have to be a developer to use or update content on a Drupal site someone else has built for you.

Its true that drupal has a very steep learning curve but it doesn't mean that it can't and shouldn't be used for smaller type of websites, drupal is very flexible. I personally don't think that drupal is dying, especially now with Drupal 8, where it finally embraced OOP.

by watching your video, i would tell, you don't have that knowledge to appreciate "technology". WordPress is for everyone, Drupal is not for everyone; And in this web technology, "security" is the most important subject, and will be the first prior for every I.O.T. contents, and in this case Drupal is way more ahead than everyone. In my case, drupal is a kind of framework to build a powerful website.

I worked with Drupal for nearly half a decade. I really enjoyed it. I really love what they did with 8. That said with the move toward APIs and JavaScript front-ends "older" PHP CMSs are becoming a thing of the past. There has been this HUGE shift in the last few years to use libraries and frameworks to build projects instead of monolithic CMS platforms like Drupal. That is with the exception of Wordpress which seems to be the goto solution for many building a website or application with low level of traffic that does not need to scale. Java and .NET have gained more traction then ever before with modern software APIs and JavaScript driven front-ends. I think you are completely right. Drupal is dying because the landscape has changed so much in the last few years and while Drupal did a really good job with modernizing itself it inadvertently scared off people with the added complexity and rise of nodejs with powerful front-end frameworks is something that was not anticipated in the 4 year long rewrite in php. I think the catostrophic mistake of Drupal has ignoring the JavaScript landscape. It is really sad to see such a great platform have such a low adoption rate because it was refactored to use modern, oop principles. I guess that speaks volumes for the php community… when they choose WP over Wordpress. Great work has been done with migration, config, entity, fields, views, and panels that no other system really offers but yet people who are looking to use a CMS/CMF are detoured from Drupal. It is all such a shame because Drupal 8+ is so brilliant and sophisticated. Perhaps to much so for the audience.
