Reviewing Vogue's advanced pattern directions. Have you ever wondered what the pattern directions look like for an advanced Vogue sewing pattern? I love the skirt on Vogue 1820, and although I have no idea when I plan to sew it up, I decided to sit down and review the pattern directions and share what is inside the envelope. I sewed this one already! Both the top and the skirt. I put a review video up, and had mentioned I wasn’t sure why it wasn’t rated advanced as neither piece were difficult to sew, just time consuming. There are a lot of pieces for the top so that might be why. The skirt is a quick sew.

This is indeed surprising. I'm wondering if that "casing in the bottom of the skirt" isn't the only reason the pattern is considered advanced. Can't wait for you to make it though because I'd like to see which type of fabric you decide on... woven or knit.

This picture looks like it’s hard to sew but yes the instructions makes it look easy.
I guest knit will make is lay flat on the body and woven would give it more shape.
