Having virtually everything Evans ever recorded, to my ears this is the finest recording of Nardis (and solo ) he ever did. Same for both Eddie and Marty.

Very interesting how "in" Bill stays, almost a fully diatonic solo, only using chromaticism as a way to add color. Wish more people play like that today!

It's a little more out than this era for sure, but I highly recommend checking out his Nardis opening solo from "The Sesjun Radio Shows". Not sure why, but I really loved this tune and did a deep dive listening to tens of versions. Maybe it's just me but the Sesjun recording hit me the most, (though several like this one are stellar to say the least)
