That is likely a made-up story by Jack Johnson himself in his interviews and autobiography. He was known for making up stories that still gave insight into his inner rebel.
Also, next time you try to make a post about history, state what period or Era, if there is one, the historical figure is from. It's not that difficult to look up and include in a short. It is indicative of one's effort in research, amongst other things.
Lastly, don't encourage people to break the law and taunt a police officer just to feel like a rebel/cool. You never know what the person with an issued firearm is like until it's too late.
