U S sanctions Indian firm for trade with Iran | World Affairs

The Biden administration blacklisted entities in China, Hong Kong, Iran, India, and the UAE on Thursday for suspected participation in Iran's petrochemical trade.
The US Treasury Department has sanctioned Mumbai-based Tibalaji Petrochem Private Limited in what is possibly the first action against an Indian business for allegedly trading in Iranian petroleum goods. The Department stated on Thursday that the corporation "bought millions of dollars' worth" of petrochemical chemicals for "onward shipping to China. The company was one of eight that were hit in the latest round of sanctions.
The penalties came just after India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar returned from a trip to Washington
The majority of US sanctions were withdrawn after Iran achieved a deal in 2015 with the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany to restrict its nuclear programme capable of being weaponized.

USA what do you want?? You told not to purchase oil from Russia we do that. Now we are going to purchase oil from Iran then you are imposing sanctions. What do you want we let decline valuation of our currency because of oil price hike. You sell oil on discount, we purchase from you otherwise we have to do something to save our economy and to avoid economic crisis. Force Opec countries to sold oil on discount, we will purchase from there otherwise we have to do that.

This company wasn't acting in INDIA'S best interests by supplying China.

I think that it's EMBARRASSING, by having the US show us up for what is essentially a "national security risk" (to India as well) from an Indian company.
