A tutorial elucidating usage of some formulas in solving common torsion problems related to solid circular sections. [sic] In Ex 2 d=9.5 mm but has been inadvertently indicated as d=9 mm under knowns. The rest of the computation is correct nonetheless, since d=9.5 mm was substituted correctly in the torsion formulae.

1. This tutorial is a good exercise, demonstrating the application of some common formulas in solving torsion-related problems. It is generally applicable to any engineer however, specifically the exercises may be beneficial to young engineering students as well.#torsion related problems#
2. Professional engineers may take advantage of these exercises and create standard excel sheets as demonstrated in my previous videos for everyday usage in their office work.
3. In solving the problems, all reasonable assumptions have been made i.e applicability of Hooke's, law, plane sections remain plane after deformation (no twisting and or bending out of plane), during deformation the sample experiences stresses within the yield strength, etc.
