When I opened this video I instantly though "Hey this place seems familiar" Then you said you were in Indianapolis. I'm from Indianapolis myself so it's cool you visited my city.

This is a great idea for someone like me who is disabled. I had a panic attack last time I went through security at my local airport flying to Little Rock because I was afraid I was going to come to the gate only to miss my plane.

I've had Global Entry comes in great when needing to clear CBP (Customs and Border Protection). Another added benefit to Global Entry compared to just getting TSA Precheck is if you do a lot of air travel in Canada you can show your Global Entry card at the CATSA checkpoint for security and you will get routed to another line where you depending on the airport typically get the same benefits as at TSA checkpoints. With the exception that laptops must be removed as thats a Transport Canada requirement. Keep in mind Global Entry does not expedite your CBSA border clearance into Canada the NEXUS program does that in addition to receiving TSA Precheck and the CATSA security benefits. Also I wish I knew this when I signed up for the program. You do NOT need an appointment for your interview. Depending on the airport you can EASILY just walk in and do the interview during hours of operation. You will receive your known traveler number upon completion fo the interview. You do not need to wait for your card to come. The number will activate after you've had it for 24 hours and is ready to use.

Plz consider doing the following pieces "things to know before you decide to travel with friends & family on vacation" & also "things to know before you decide to stay at home of friend/family when you travel for tourism". Not everyone can be on your speed & its tough to tactifully navigate around others' limitations.

Don't forget to look into Global Entry as well, it's only $15 more and includes TSAprecheck, but it's global for several other countries besides the US/Canada, etc. My TSA precheck expires next spring....I'll be spending the extra for Global Entry. Some airports (DFW, my local airport) have separate lines for Global Entry users.

Thank you! I've been curious about this for a while now.

I wish there was a British equivalent to this for UK airports. LHR isn't too bad because I use the First Wing but other UK airports can be a long drawn out process to get through security.

Sometimes when you book a round trip flight, one leg may have Pre check on your boarding and the other leg of the flight will not. According to TSA, they said it was a random security measure that happens occasionally.

What's ironic is that I just received my Global Entry acceptance earlier this morning. Already had TSA Pre from earlier this year, but a new credit card paid for the GE app. Great vid.

Consider that most of us do not have our fingerprints on file anywhere. Wondering if this fingerprinting makes them available to all law enforcement - in terms of privacy?

I’ve been flying back and forth from PHL to LAX for the past four years - I didn’t know what Pre-Check was until I landed back in Philly last night as was asked.

“....isn’t this a thing everyone has? I’ve WOLTZ’d through security for half a decade.”

This doesn’t matter if you have a private jet

Southwest gave me Pre-Check for free on a recent flight (my first time flying!) and it was GREAT! Blitzed right through at PIT and ATL airports. My father didn't have it and ATL security took him 15 min, it only took me 3 minutes.
