I broke my tractor... hope insurance works

It's time to get things moving on preparing for concrete for the pole barn, and that starts with some clean up and preliminary grade work with the tractor. However, as most projects go, we ran into an issue and caused some tractor damage. Let's hope we get this problem sorted before some major dirt work begins!

Sorry for the delayed posting! We've been working through a small hiccup with Molly's pregnancy. Nothing serious, but required our attention for the last few days. Keep Molly in your prayers as we approach little mans arrival:) We will keep you posted! Thank you all for the love and support♥

It's actually a really easy fix. It takes just a minute to straighten it back out. No issue. Just don't push things around without an attachment on the front ;) Read the other comments and follow that advice.

No reason to send it to repairs, put a block between the end of the cylinder and quick attach on the "short side", suck the other side in past the equal point to untwist the twisted bar, do this a number of times progressively going farther each time until it is perfectly straight again. Works really well when you have one person working the controls and the other person to hold the block when extending back out to check alignment. Go slow and be patient, and if you over correct the other side then just switch over to that side with the block.

Cut the center bar, put a sleeve over it, reattach to the bucket/grapple and weld the sleeve.

I had the very same thing happen with my quick attach when carrying a large log and one side of the grapple came off and twisted the brackets. I bent the bracket back in place by pushing it against a tree. It's not perfect but works great and I didn't have to take the tracker to the dealer, where it would have sat for a few weeks before they could get to it. I have used my insurance also for repairs when a log went over the grapple and smashed ;my headlights and radiator. No fun losing the tractor when you depend on it. Best of luck.

I have the B2601 and did the same thing. What I did was curl all the way back then pounded the crossbar straight then put round bar through the crossbar and worked it hard still have problems but it works

Y'all are so adorable. You remind me of me and my wife before she told me that she wasn't happy and decided to divorce me. That was of course after two kids, several rental properties and life was going good. Hopefully you'll have better luck.

A good bucket will have a flat bar on the back side laying flat at least 5 inches wide for back dragging, and a float control is a must. and it also gives you a point to adjust to your forward cutting blade. Your bucket should be against the ground in various pressures to control your grade going forward. I ran back hoes and many other types of equipment while in the heavy equipment operators union. Regardless of the size of equipment the same principals apply. A front bucket if mastered is a high production piece of equipment.
