Testing out the new movement system and collision avoidance logic that resembles Starcraft 2 somewhat in that you can "compress" the group and it will deflate to make space for all the individual units. Performance is king so I'm using UE4 animation sharing and animation budgeting. Units are skeletal meshes, not using vertex-based animation.

that looks really nice i assume youre not using unreals nav system but some kind of flow field?

its not vertex animating? wow... thats impressive. and the croud manager - awesome. Are they "character" class or "pawn" ?

what are you doing that makes that cheaper? I also use anim sharing and animation budgeting stuff
