My mother died in 2004. The St. Anger album helped me through these dark times. I‘m forever grateful for this raw and powerful album with its lyrics.

Never thought Dirty Window would become a fix song on the setlist during a whole tour. I saw them in Florence, Madrid and Lisbon and Dirty Window was one of the songs I enjoyed the most!
Hope they do a St Anger 20 anniversary tour next year

When Load came out people around me was like " What a hell is this?". But, I like it. When Reload came out they were like " Bagpipes, really?". Still, I like that one too. When St Anger came out everyone was like " No solos? Snare? No polished production? Can you give us back Load and Reload ?". But....I was impressed with St Anger. It was different, very honest and raw and if you're in a bad place with your life that's when this album will get you, twist your mind and put you back on your feet. Therapeutic album... that's what St Anger is.

St. Anger is one of the most original album Metallica ever produced. I wish the could do an anniversary concert for that album and play all the tracks. Great riffs, aggressive sound.. awesome album.

A whole different level of appreciating St. Anger nowadays is, C-minor is a way more flattering key for James’ voice than the higher tunings most of their other work is in. I wish they’d write in Drop C again bc I always thought his voice sounded way better singing slightly lower.

I know everyone is giving props to Lars for finally tunning his drums and playing really well... but can we just take a sec to appreciate how fkn good Kirk has become? His tone, speed and technique are ON POINT, he has been killing it... Dude is FLAWLESS in these past few videos. And what about James' singing? Sure he has some problems with some notes, but his voice is just getting better and better... I'm so happy with these videos

This song was my introduction to Metallica at age 9 when St. Anger came out. LOVED this song, and didn't get the St. Anger hate because, until that point, it was about the heaviest thing I had ever heard.
