💨 Winter Storm Ambience with Howling Blizzard and Drifting Snow on an Abandoned Road in Norway.

This relaxing winter storm soundscape has nice calming sounds of a howling blizzard and drifting snow far away from the urban environment. The sound of wind and snow are always great sounds for sleeping or resting and that's the reason I made this soundscape. It always works well for me, especially when it's hot in my bedroom or when my partner is snoring in my ear. ;( Give it a try and I hope it will work for you too! Let me know in the comments. ◼ All my soundscape videos are made in high quality with editing programs such as Vegas Pro, Photoshop and Audacity, and take many hours / days of editing and mixing to create. The equipment I use to record the audio are the Zoom H5 or H6 recorder + Audio-Technica BP4025 microphone, and for the videos I use the GoPro Hero6. Some video and audio files are made in collaboration with other video / audio creators with all the licenses & commercial use rights that are necessary. I mixed these video or audio files with the creation of myself. Sometimes I use a photo and make a moving video of it.

Reminds me of the night I came home from uni during a blizzard. All but one bus had stopped running and that dropped me off a mile from home. Walking that last mile across fields and lonely silent roads was a lovely experience. That was many many years though.

I freaking love blizzards. Looking out the window and barely seeing across the street no traffic and everything is closed up. So quiet and peaceful. Make a cup of coffee and again just look out the window and watch the snow. I guess I have a simple pleasure.

Growing up in a country that experiences all 4 seasons, I hated the Winter. The snow was so dangerous and inconvenient. But now I love the Winter. The air is so fresh, there are no loud sounds of cars driving and people shouting, just calm winds. I never really liked sun and I love when it gets dark early so the days are usually overcast and that lighting balances both out. The snow also adds a touch of brightness during the night. I actually find Spring and Summer quite depressing now.

Being from Canada and growing up on the east coast with the Atlantic ocean, this reminds me of winters back home in the 60's and 70's. We had many a storm blow in off the ice which was full of bergs in winter. I loved the cold and blowing winds growing up and we played in the snow, tobogganing, throwing snowballs, skating and making tunnels. It brings back memories too of the ice breaker ships leaving harbour and heading out through the ice in the channel towards NFLD. The blowing wind is so peaceful...mother nature. Love it!
