this is the bright side of being in the ensemble. not only do you get to sing in a good portion of the songs in the show, you get to play a poor person, a rebel, and a policeman at different portions for the musical

Saw a college production of this recently. Honestly, I'm not generally a musical theater person, but I have a soft spot for the darkly satirical. Plus I like how it makes fun of itself and other musicals.

In our show we have everyone get really into it and at one part bobby gets too ambitious and takes off Beckys brace and she tries walking and just falls to the ground and for the rest of the song Becky gives him a death glare

My sister did this at a theater once. I’m not that into theater but I watched urinetown every time and never got sick of it. When it ended I was sad, but this brings me back. This show is hilarious
