Because Hank Greens face doesn't age, it's nice to have some continuity on how recent a video is from his hair

"Were lucky we get to get to live here" is a great mantra/affirmation to get through a tough day. Even with these vicious storms its good to be reminded nature is awe-inspiring.

Hank - I make a pilgrimage to this every summer, and I HAVE re-lit it when some crappy kids put it out just to see if they could. It was an honor :D

I love your new curls. I don't love why you have them. But they're adorable. 😄

Growing up in WNY i never realized how many incredible things i took for granted.

i have videos and photos at that exact spot, as well as from the niagra falls gorge that i used to run weekly.

I moved to sunny AZ and have found just as many but very different wonders

Trillions of planets in our universe and we got the one with fire waterfalls. That’s pretty neat man

"We're lucky to get to live here, " is a great mantra that I think almost anyone from any background and any belief system could agree on.

That’s by me!!! It’s so normal here to hike up to it, you forget how magical it is. Just like the falls. Buffalo is a hell of a city.

Can confirm what Hank said about relighting. I grew up a few miles from here and my friends and I would often hike down to the flame. I blew it out once thinking I wouldn't be able to and then panicked for 10 minutes trying to get it lit again. (I later learned that it happens all the time)

It is very nice that we get to live here and have developed enough to create safe boundaries from where we can appreciate nature without putting ourselves in danger. I hope that we can continue to do so in the future, despite everything going on.

THE ETERNAL FLAME IS GETTING HANK GREEN AIRTIME?? I love it there beyond measure. One of my favorite places to go hiking/creekwalking in the summer time. I’ve relit that fire personally a few times, too. What an amazing place. Thank you for covering it!! 🔥

We are lucky to live here. If we would all camp out on this thought and beautiful images like this eternal flame, and the awe and joy in this man's face - it would change our brain and change our life. Counting your blessings - Ps 66

What we forget is that people are also nature. When we talk about other animals interacting with things, we say it's natural. And we do that even more when it's plants or minerals. But a human, today or thousands of years ago, seeing that flame extinguish itself and relighting it is the most natural thing I can think of. Who knows how it started. Humans saw it and knew it should go on

I live 15 minutes away from that and when I was growing up it was such a cool hiking spot but it blew up online and it’s filled with tourists and nobody used to go down there

This is why we should never underestimate my home state. Gods Bless New York

Centralia mine fire is a good example of why you don't want that to happen.

One of the coolest things I have laid my eyes on as a person who works as a diver and also does it as a hobby is a waterfall inside a large air pocket in an otherwise underwater cave. I will never forget how it looked like and what it made me feel like when I surfaced.
