Justin Trudeau will remain the prime minister of Canada after the Liberal Party won the most seats in the October 21, 2019 federal election. However, after failing to secure enough seats in the Canadian parliament, he will be forming a minority government and will need the help of smaller parties to pass major legislation. The narrow victory comes after a string of political scandals that have recently mired his administration.
