How To Setup and Play Xbox Cloud Gaming on Steamdeck!

On this video I'm showing you step-by-step how-to setup and play Xbox Cloud Gaming on your Steamdeck. This is a pretty lengthy process and can get confusing, but if you follow along closely and pause the video as you go, you should have it up and running in a few minutes! The Steam deck is an awesome machine on its own, but being able to play Gamepass on your Steamdeck as well takes things to another level of cool!

Just followed your instructions as close as possible and it’s working great. Thank you so much. FYI for anyone else, things may be slightly different like it was for me. For example, edge isn’t in beta; and once you add to steam, there’s no need to access it in the “add games” window. Otherwise, everything else was pretty much exactly how you explained. Thank you!! Worked like a charm!! The ONLY issue I had and recommend to others, do NOT use the on-screen keyboard, it is TRASH. Connect a USB keyboard to the deck if you have a USB-C to USB-A adaptor. If you have a recent USB-C phone, it LIKELY came with that adaptor.

Instead of having people pause your video and hand-copy all of those long Linux commands and arguments where there is a high possibility of making a mistake, you might suggest they could copy and paste them (since they do have a browser available in Desktop Mode) from the extremely clear and well-written support article that you cite in your description.

Great walkthrough for visual learners though! :)

Hi, great video! I didn’t use this to setup mine but I watched it again. This was clear and to the point.

I do have a question - my Xbox Cloud Gaming works and all but when I am done playing, I am having trouble closing out of it. I can quit a game and it brings me back to Xbox Cloud Gaming’s home but I can’t seem to “get out”.

If I click on the Steam button, nothing happens. I finally just restarted the SD by holding the power button long enough. Once the SD booted back up, I was back in the Steam gaming mode so all it was well but surely, I shouldn’t have to reboot my Deck every time I am done playing with Cloud Gaming.

Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks for this! One small issue for me....how do you exit app after it launches? So far, I have only been able to close with the ALT-F4 if a KB is attached.

I feel like ive been following the commands and after hitting playing it just says Launching/flashes a second then does nothing.
