Did you know that in Coco...

Miguel kisses his great-grandmother Coco on the cheek, who says warmly "How are you, Julio?"
While this is an example of her memory loss impacting how she remembers family members, Julio was her husband and a sweet gesture like Miguel did trigger Coco's memory of her beloved husband.

Remember me, though I have to say goodbye. Remember me…don’t let it make you cry.

Papa Julio is Coco’s husband, Rosita is Julio’s sis, Victoria is Coco’s oldest daughter, with Elena (Miguel’s grandma) being her younger daughter. Oscar and Felipe are Imelda’s younger brothers.

It's also possible that Miguel is the same age Julio was when he and Coco first met. That would also influence Coco's memories.

No wonder Miguel had such a concerned look on his face

The movie mispronounces Julio’s name though it’s pronounced Joo-lee-o not Hoo-lee-o.

Is it a cultural thing but why is he uncle Julio if shes great grandmother and you're saying Julio was her husband. Why uncle and not great grandfather (by marriage)

Lovely and sad...but I hated the rest of the family besides Coco and Miguel. Seriously, how STUPID are the rest of the family!? Especially Hector's wife! She knows him better than that!
