MRes student workshop at the PHE Mycology Reference Laboratory

As part of the MRes component of the MRes/PhD programme at the Medical Research Council Centre for Medical Mycology at the University of Aberdeen students undertake a 2-day visit to Public Health England for a lecture and practical workshop in fungal diagnostic and identification procedures for clinical samples. The purpose of this workshop is to provide a greater appreciation of the current state of the art and of the challenges faced in diagnosing fungal infections in patients.
