Micro Creature Baits Catch Canal Beasts!

This session was a bit all over the place. Started of with the intentions of making an ultralight perch jigging tutorial, but with the forecast of thunder storms i figured that would be quite tricky. I decided to target the biggest fish i could find using my ultra light micro creature baits and caught some CHUNKS.

I’m very jealous that you have such a well stocked, clear water venue. I live in Guildford, Surrey and the river Wey has so much suspended silt and other crap in it you can’t see a bright orange lure 2 feet off your rod tip at the moment! Keep up the good work 👍

Hi Chris, Instead of fishing for shoals of small Perch up to 2lb. Why not do what we do, and fill a bucket full of Minnows (Abundant now), and go Dip for those Massive Loners, You will nail Pike, Chub, Tench, and anything else that fancies a Minnow dinner along the way. Apart from the rain (Here Too) looks like You had a good un. Thanks for sharing.
