I just bought the FT680s. I went in wanting the 690s but they didn’t have my size in stock. Chase your review was on point as I thought they felt great out of the box, but I did bake them and I purchased inserts due to my high arch. The tongue was the only difference I felt between the two. I tried on the 690s previously but didn’t purchase at that time.

Tried myself and this skates are perfect choice for any hobby player. I went for Ribcore 90K instead because of better deal but FT680 are awesome hobby skates.

Great video, always love them. I scanned as a 6.5, Fit 3 last week. I have worn a 6.5, Fit 3 Mach and a 7, Fit 2 Vapor 3x Pro off and on for a few beer league seasons. They both felt comfortable, but the Mach really hugged my foot with all the padding, but ultimately the heel lock wasn’t quite there as the Machs broke in. Question is, would a 6.5 Wide FT680 be on par with a Bauer Fit 3? I really want to try the JetSpeeds.

How much of an upgrade are these to the FT4s? I found a pair of FT4's that were used maybe once and I'm considering getting those, but these are just a little more than the FT4's I'm looking at. Do you think a few extra bucks is worth the modern tech found in the FT680s? I am currently wearing a pair of Rebook Ribcore 30k's, RIP. Gonna miss the air pump.

How is the fit compared to the FT6 Pro?
I currently use FT680 in size 8 Wide. The fit isn’t perfect but works. I recently tried the new Tacks XF in 8 Wide and they feel amazing — except that my toes hit the front of the toe cap, and my hammer toes also touch the top. So it seems like the Tacks XF 8 Wide is shorter and shallower in the toecap area compared to the FT680.

My foot measurements:

Length: 271 mm

Width: 115 mm

Instep: ~260 mm
So I have a slightly high volume foot, but not extremely high.

Would you recommend going for:

FT6 Pro in 8 Wide?

Tacks XF in 8.5 Wide?

Or the older XF90 in 8 (which still has the older, more spacious toe cap)?

Appreciate any insight — my goal is comfort and performance without toe pain

Got these in a 9 regular fit and felt like my pinky toes were getting smashed so I went and bought a 9 wide as well and they just felt too big. should I go 9 1/2 or should I get the tack xf80 instead? My shoe size is 10.5 and I was rocking the CCM 46K in a 9 1/2 but based on sizing I think those were too big

My LE MX3's finally gave out on me last week (holder ripped right out of the boot, bought in Feb 2015) and I need new skates asap but I can't spend 1000 dollars again. Would these be a good replacement? I mainly care about weight, height from the ice and fit so would these be comparable to my MX3's? I'm a fast power skater and I play 2-3 games a week in higher level beer league.
