Foghorn Stringband, Waterbound. Traditional. First recorded in 1929 by Fields Ward’s Buck Mountain Band (also known as Grayson County Railspitters and later the Ballard Branch Bogtrotters). Performed live at Deep End Sessions, September 17, 2017. This was part of a very high energy concert in front of a packed audience in the living room of a California farmhouse. All acoustic house concerts and house dances like this are one of the ways old-time stringband music was originally experienced. It still is so today at Deep End Sessions. Foghorn Stringband is Stephen "Sammy" Lind, fiddle & vocals; Nadine Landry, bass & vocals; Caleb Klauder, mandolin & vocals; and Reeb Willms, guitar & vocals.
