What a beast of a camera for professional work, really impressive.
Those upgraded features like pro XLR inputs, active cooling system, top handle, tally lights, mounting points makes all the difference on set for filmmakers.

Fire video bro. I won't lie this camera instantly caught my eye. Although I am swimming heavy in the Canon world for now my initial start was Sony. And to hear you say this camera would make you considering switching...wow. Great content as usual Armando

I really hope shutter angle gets added in firmware. It's the main thing I missing from switching from GH5 to A7s3. It made switching between 24fps to 60fps so much easier not having to worry about shutter speed.

What cable did you need to power the camera with the Anton battery? Is there a d-tap that can plug into the FX3?

Aside from the internal fan, which does not separate it very far from the S3, the lack of shutter angle and internal variable ND is a missed opportunity. I really don’t mind if it’s a little bigger just to accommodate the internal VND.

I'm a happy a7s3 user but would every much consider the FX3 if I needed another camera in the same size.

I also totally agree that Sony really should have just made one camera in this class and added some more "cinema" features like you mentioned to make it more worthy of the cinema camera tag.

One quick question. When you shot in S-cinetone, what codec did you use?

I agree with you in two things: 1) that should’ve been the Sony A7SIII instead. No reason for Sony to make two very similar spec wise cameras. I think they tried to please one crowd while at the same time trying to release the product they really wanted to release which in this case was the FX3. 2) The FX3 should not have cinema brand next to its name. Its really not a cinema camera by any means, even though it can produce cinema like footage ( similar to A7S3) but it does not have any cinema functions to deserve that name. Great video Armando!!
