I'm really glad you made this channel and I'm really glad that it's an EV channel and not a Tesla channel. I think it's a great idea to discuss and celebrate any company striving towards the ultimate goal of transitioning away from fossil fuels. I'm excited to see what you make of this channel.

Small thought, perhaps this channel can also talk about other elements in the electrification and energy production space and how they relate to EVs. Coal plants getting shut down in favor of alternative energy sources, for example, is a great tangential discussion because one of the concerns with EVs is we still burn fossil fuels to power them. As more EV companies come out, more of our energy will transition away from fossil fuels as well. Electric public transport, electric planes and ships. Hell, electric tractors are even being looked into. I'd love to see channels discuss these topics as well.

Love the channel Drew. You’ll get a Tesla, when I was your age I drove a 1980 Pontiac Sunberg. I’m 60 have a model 3 and pre ordered a cybertruck. I’m a retired UPS Man in Connecticut

Thanks for your openness and sharing why you're waiting until the time is more appropriate to get a Tesla--I totally respect that, and I am in the same boat, as I don't own a Tesla yet, either, even though I am pining for a Model Y AWD. I hate driving an ice car but Teslas are a big reach financially even considering no more gas cost. I am quite a bit older than you and between a divorce that cleaned me out and a land investment that did not go as planned, I am paying off what little debt remains and then will save up as much cash as I can--I'd love to pay cash or just have a really low car payment, but I am in no mood for a $700 or $800 per month car payment. Good luck, and we'll keep watching!

Good for you for not wasting money you don't have. I know people that do that, and I'm really worried for them, so please wait as long as you need to to get a Tesla.

I'm with you. I don't trade cars casually. I like to buy one outright and then stick with it for the long haul. At my house we had a new 1995 Pontiac Bonneville that became a daily driver right up to 2015. I bonded with that car (still miss it a little), and it was super reliable. That's sort of my ideal example for how owning a car should work. What makes things tricky with electric cars now is, the price of a new one is pretty high, and the technology is advancing so fast. All the same, I made a leap of faith… This morning I put in my order for a new Tesla Model S Long Range.

I'm excited for you to get a Tesla and hear about your experience. You do a great job and your topics are spot on, relevant and what I want to hear about, so keep up the great work and I'll be watching and supporting you.
P.S. I don't have a Tesla yet either (I have a Volt) and for a lot of the same reasons as you, but with the model Y coming out and it having the features I am looking for, now I'm planning on getting a model Y in a year or two after they work out the bugs and demand settles down.

I love evs, especially Tesla. I believe electric is the future as well. I have multiple ice suvs & pickups. I want an electric suv, but I just can't afford it. Not new anyway. Kudos for paying your debts first. Very wise. Go Dave Ramsey.
