The sweetest & best cat I've ever seen (& had the fortune to know) was my cat, George. He lived for 23 yrs. He watched me grow up since I was in 4th grade & then, he watched my daughter grow until she was 5. He was half Maine Coon, half Persian. He was quite literally bigger than Garfield! Jim Davis (the creator & owner of Garfield) was coworkers & friends with my mom. He couldn't believe how massive George was. When Jim met George, George weighed 28 lbs, but he was perfectly proportionate, not obese; it's his breed.
George was incredibly intelligent, affectionate, & nurturing. He was very well-trained & knew a TON of tricks, but my favorite were his back rubs! He gave the BEST back rubs!!! He's been gone for 15 yrs & I still mourn him. He was truly a gift & a beloved family member. 🥹🐾♥️🕊

My home had a Siamese blend. He was my daughter's best friend. Boo figured out that traffic at a 4way stop was not letting the kindergartener cross the street to get home. He would sit at the cornor, waiting for HIS kid. When he saw her get off the bus on the far corner, he would come get an adult, usually me to hold up traffic so he could go meet and walk her home. Of course I had to hold traffic up again.

My best cat I found in my yard with a broken jaw as a kitten. He was huge seventeen pounds of muscle, best mouser I ever had. Played fetch, super affectionate and calm. He lived for nearly twenty years. No idea what breed he was.

My best cat has been my gray tabby/Russian blue mix, Apollo. He us a sweetheart of a cat but will rout any of the neighborhood tomcats, even in his old age. He sneaks out, and our neighbors have told us that they have observed him looking both ways before he crosses the street 😂 Apollo is a legend in his own time 💙
