In fact, pearl earrings are now one of my most worn luxury items in my day to day life. In this video, I talked about why pearls are so versatile, wearable, and timeless. It’s so refreshing to hear a YouTuber talk about pearls and actually get the details right. Most say they love pearls and then proceed to demonstrate that they haven’t done any homework and know nothing about them. Well done, Eileen!
I have been collecting pearls since the early 1980s and have all sorts except the Philipino gold south sea ones. The white ones come from here in Australia around Broome in northwestern Australia and they are the most sustainable and environmentally friendly jewellery industry in the world. Australia is a pearl lover’s paradise if you know where to look, which I do.
What I do if I haven’t worn some of mine for a while is one day when I know I am going to be home alone put them on over my pjs and let them feed on the natural oils in my skin. It brings back the lustre very effectively. It is a funny sight though, me pottering around the house in my pjs dripping in pearls like the Empress of Russia.

I love wearing pearls! When I was a kid, I thought pearls were just for old ladies. ;) But now I have quite a collection and wear them with everything. My favorite necklace is a set of glass-like pearls from my great-grandma that's over 100 years old. She wore them almost every day, and although they aren't real pearls, they're a keepsake that I'll give my daughter someday. Great video, Eileen!

My husband bought me a gorgeous akoya pearl earings with 0.30ct diamond. Stunning, stunning piece. They are very amazing quality, I can even see my reflection on them! I'd love to add a south sea pearl to my collection

I've always loved pearls, mostly because they look classy and can be worn with a casual or a dressy outfit. I think pearls give you the most bang for your buck out of any jewelry out there. Very interesting about the differences between saltwater and freshwater pearls too, thank you for sharing that! I used to work for a woman that had a huge Tahitian pearl on a chain, it was absolutely stunning. Now I need to go get mine out of my jewelry box and work them into this week's wardrobe!

Similar as you, I have been a pearl lover for 3-4 years.

My favorite is Akoya pearls. I bought a pair which is the best certificate quality Tennyo 天女 last year. Unfortunately I dropped one of them on floor from my waist level to the floor. I almost burst into tears and my heart kept bleeding for a few days. The crush did an unnoticeable damage to it. Tennyo is perfect and with extremely no flaws by definition but I made a flaw during first hour. Stupid me.

I still love them, though.

I really really love pearls. I think I appreciate the beauty of pearls more than diamonds. Coloured gems come next, also my new favorite in the past 3 years.

Recently I started to love Hermes bags too. I bought a Constance to go. Love the quality of Hermes bag, though expensive 😅.

We need to appreciate and enjoy our jewellery and nice handbags everyday!

I adore pearls. Tomorrow I’m wearing to a wedding a double strand of Mikimoto pearls topped by a single strand with a diamond flower brooch set in the middle of the pearls. I saw that in Victoria magazine. They took antique brooches and added them to the strand of pearls so gorgeous and very like Coco Chanel. Matched with a triple strand bracelet and pearl stud earrings. Nothing makes me feel more ladylike. I just bought a pair of golden South Sea pearls drop ear rings and a matching 14 kt necklace with a golden South Sea pearl drop. Can’t wait to wear those. My grandmother had a red pearl ring that I have never seen anywhere else.

I’ve always loved pearl jewelry, but especially pearl items with gold elements. I’m 64, and I think simple strands of peals look a little aging on now, so I prefer more modern designs, with some gold in them.
