“DEI” Is NOT The New N-Word

The left is running with a new narrative: "DEI is apparently the new N-Word". Let's talk about it.

We went from years of discrimination to finally getting things right, and now we're back to discriminating again.

I know that at my last job, I worked a couple of years on trying to get this specific promotion. I did all the work -- 60 hours weeks -- and all the extra unpaid work: college recruiting, charity events, organizing holiday parties. Eventually I was made "acting manager" when that role opened up. But I wasn't allowed to actually apply or keep the role because of DEI quotas. It took a few months for them to fill the role I was doing, and then I was demoted. It was frustrating. I eventually jumped to a competitor.
