Ian Harts performance in God's own country was incredible

He gave a brilliant performance as a stroke victim. My mum had a stroke and was left disabled afterwards. The ward she was recovering in had many folks left with various abilities in mobility and speech. Ian Harts' portrayal was spot on. Despite being unable to string sentences out as spoken words, the brevity of his character's utterances brought out his love for his son and the wish that he would be happy in such a tough inhospitable and bleak future on their family farm. Such a great film and performances too from Gemma Jones, Johny's nan, Alec Secareanu, and Josh O'Connor, and for the author and director of the film, Francis Lee.

He’s wonderful. Always a self-affacing guy. One of my faves

I remember this guy from My Mad Fat Diary! Lol. He's too right, some of the best work in the world can go unnoticed sometimes, I'm thankful that's not the case with this movie. God's Own Country was a delight to witness. I've even bought it on Amazon just so I can go back and watch it whenever I want.
